Poco M3 Pro 5G First Impressions: Competitive but is it an exception?

Poco M3 Peo 5G Smartphones
A more powerful version of the Poco M3 Pro 5G is the Poco M3 (the review also includes more features and performance at a slightly higher price), and offers better. It boasts a new design, a larger battery and a higher-refresh-rate display. It’s now Poco M3 most affordable 5G smartphone, and it runs in contrast to the 8 5G in Realme. I just got my hands on this phone and while doing a lot of testing work, here’s my initial idea.

Poco offers two variants of M3 Pro 5G in India in three colors. I have the top-end 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant in the Cool Blue Trim. t's price. 15,999. There is a low price base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is Rs. 13,999. Internal storage and using a microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM slot. Other color options are more subtle power black and distinctive poco M3 yellow.

The thickness of the Poco M3 Pro 5G has tried its best to mask with rounded edges for the frame and rear panel. The top and bottom of the frame are flat, which adds interesting aesthetics. You well find a headphone jack and IR emitter at a top and USB Type-C port and speaker at the bottom. The Poco M3 Pro is not too heavy and has a nice feel in the hand.

The recessed power button on the right also has a fingerprint sensor, which works well with a press or a tap depending on how you set it up. The 6.5-inch full-HD + LCD panel handles sharp visuals, decent brightness and transparent color. I had to manually set the refresh rate to 90Hz, then the animations and scrolling through the menus felt quite comfortable.

The MediaTek Dimension 700 SC uses the same as the Poco M3 Pro Realm 85G. On paper, the 7nm SC seems to be fairly strong for a phone in this price segment, so gaming and general multitasking shouldn’t be a problem. After testing it we will know for sure how to deal with this heavy burden. 5G is certainly a big draw here, but this feature is not very effective at the moment as the 5G network is far from a reality in India.

Poco M3 Pro 5G runs on MIUI 12.0.2 based on Android 11 11.. The Poco M3 has reduced the size of the Poco battery to 5000mAh compared to the 6,000mAh. It’s still quite high capacity though and it should easily deliver more than a day’s worth of runtime. You will find an 18W fast charger in the box.

Before we roll it out we should talk about the cameras, which seems a bit disappointing in terms of specifications oin the initial 48-megapixel camera seems useful enough, but Poco has left an ultra-wide camera, which is surprising considering the price. Instead, you get two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth in my opinion, which is not the most effective.

The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor. We will come up with a full camera performance report with lots of sample photos in the final review.
Poco M3 Pro 5G
The Poco M3 Pro doesn't seem to be a segment disruptor like the 5G Poco X3 Pro, which in my mind, is a little frustrating considering it's almost all cheating. In fact, if you leave 5G out of the equation for a moment, phones like Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Note 10 Pro seem to offer much better quality for almost the same price as the top-end Poco M3 Pro. will save my final verdict until I finish testing the phone so contact Fastnews98 for a full review Coming soon.
