Microsoft made bold claims about Windows 10 and released it as a service rather than an operating system. Since then Windows 10 was considered the last version of Windows. Now 2021 is going on, technology is moving fast and things are different. Microsoft has listed the expiry date for Windows 10 ahead of the June 24 launch event.

Microsoft is organizing Windows 11 event on June 24 and Microsoft has also released an 11-minute video on YouTube regarding it. The video contains a collection of startup sounds from different Windows versions, which are quite slow. When you speed up the video, you may hear a new startup sound similar to what you'll probably hear on Windows 11. The company has just updated its official documents stating the EOL date for Windows 10.

Windows 10 Support Key End Date Released
All versions of Windows 10 operating system will be supported with security updates till October 14, 2025. That is, people have enough time of 2 years to upgrade to Windows 11. The date of October 14, 2025 applies to all versions of Windows 10, including Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Pro Education and Windows 10 Pro for Workstations.

On June 24, Microsoft will take to the platform to announce what is expected to be a "Sun Valley" update for Windows. Rumors so far have pointed towards a massive visual addition to the latest device with better connectivity features for Windows.

Windows 10 was introduced in the year 2015, since then this operating system has completed its 6 years. Obviously working on Windows 10 and its performance has been great. Earlier Windows XP and Windows 7 were considered to be successful OS.

What to expect from Windows 11
With Windows 11, it is expected that Microsoft will bring most of the Windows 10 content from the last few builds. In addition to new icons and themes, the new Windows Mobile device may bring with it easier controls and a smarter Action Center.

It remains to be seen whether Microsoft releases it as a free software update for licensed Windows 10 users. The company also launched Windows 10 as a free software update.
